Mercedes Benz to launch four new cars in India this year
Mercedes Benz India has worked its plan quite right for 2013. The firm is all set to surprise its car fanatics with a wide range of cars, which would certainly augment its portfolio in India. Merc India is in full swing and has plans to introduce three new cars for the Indian car market. These include in Mercedes Benz B Class diesel, Mercedes Benz A Class hatchback, Mercedes G63 AMG and Mercedes Benz CLA sedan. All four of them will hit the Indian shores this year.

Starting with Mercedes Benz A Class hatchback, the car is expected to arrive in India in June 2013. The price tag has been out yet, but apparently, the price tag of the car will land around Rs. 18 to Rs. 22 lakh. Under the bonnet, expect A-Class hatchback to come with a 1.6 litre four-cylinder petrol mill that would produce 125PS of peak power and about 200Nm of maximum torque. The hatchback might also be introduced in a diesel variant, which would feature 1.8 litre turbo charged diesel engine churning out maximum power output of 136PS.
Mercedes Benz G63 AMG SUV will also introduced in India very soon with a 5.5 liter V8 twin turbo petrol powertrain coupled with 7 speed automatic transmission. The price of this ultimate machine will be around 1 crore in the country.
Another one, which would arrive in June 2013, is Mercedes Benz B Class Diesel variant. This model will come equipped with a powerful and dynamic engine of 1.8-litre that would keep the ability to produce maximum power of around 134BHP. So far, the company hasn’t mentioned the price of the car, but it will be revealed as and when the car is officially unwrapped in India.
The last one is Mercedes Benz CLA sedan, which would arrive in India by the end of this year. The production procedure for the same has already begun in company’s Hungarian plant. This one is based on the A Class hatchback platform, therefore will be powered by similar engines as A-Class. The pricing details are being kept under the hood right now and will be unveiled officially by the firm very soon!
