Mercedes Benz to phase out 50,000th car on January 28, 2014

German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz is all set of phase out its 50,000th car in Indian car market  from its manufacturing plant located at Pune on January 28, 2014. The 50,000th vehicle from Indian arm of German car maker will be Mercedes Benz C-Class and it will be named as Grand Edition. The ongoing vehicle is expected to be C Class C220 CDI and will be blessed with same features as offered in C Class C-Edition launched in November 2013.
 
Mercedes Benz started its operation in Indian car market in 1995 and started assembling parts of C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, ML-Class, GL-Class and it is speculated to also start assembling of A and B Class. It is expected that the Grand Edition which will be the 50,000th vehicle from company will be equipped with AMG-spec alloy wheels, tinted headlights as well chrome highlights for the grille and exhaust. Whereas the interiors will be blessed with leather upholstery, touch screen infotainment system and features like ATTENTION ASSIST, ABS-EBD with brake assist, ESP, PRE SAFE and tyre pressure monitoring system. It is speculated that the Grand Edition will be energized with 2.2 litre diesel engine churning the power of 170 bhp and torque of 400 Nm. It is expected to be coated with 7G tronic automatic gearbox system.

As this unit will be a milestone in history of company in Indian car market it is expected to be enriched with special badge just making the owner to feel special than compared to other Mercedes Benz owner’s.
