Mercedes-Benz to Unveil GLA Class Facelift on January 9, 2017
German car maker Mercedes-Benz is going to globally unveil the facelift version of its entry level crossover, GLA Class next week during the Detroit Motor Show to be held in North America. Recently, the pictures of same were leaked in cyber world giving the glimpse of cosmetic changes that would be introduced in the facelift avatar of GLA Class. From the images it can be seen that these changes are minimal and mostly are based on the same changes which were offered in facelift version of CLA Class.

Inside the cabin it is speculated that facelift trim of GLA Class might feature a newly developed infotainment system followed by subtle contemporary changes. The major features already existing in ongoing edition of GLA Class are Keyless GO Starting system, eight inch media display, smartphone integration packages, spectacles compartment in the overhead panel, activity edition floor mats, luggage nets on the rear of the front seats, easy pack tailgate, front passenger foot well, rear seat backrests adjustment and few more. After launch in India it is speculated to be offered with starting price of Rs. 30.5 lakh (ex-showroom price) for the base variant followed by the price tag of Rs. 38 lakh (ex-showroom price) for the top end variant.
Talking about the mechanical changes that would be introduced in facelift GLA Class it is reported to continue with existing engine configuration of 2.0 litre and 2.1 litre in petrol and diesel variants respectively. The petrol engine will boost the power of 181 bhp and the torque of 300Nm, while the diesel will produce the power of 134 bhp and torque of 300Nm. The transmission duties will be managed by 7G-DCT 7-speed dual clutch transmission system.
