Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard Added In PM Modi’s Fleet Of Cars

On the request made by the Special Protection Group (SPG), the government of India has added the Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 in the fleet of cars used by the honourable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. This new car replaces the Range Rover Vogue and the Toyota Land Cruiser used by the Prime Minister. The honourable Prime Minister was seen in the new car during his meeting with the Russian President Vladimir Putin at Hyderabad House during his visit to India at the beginning of this month. 
 
 
Speaking about the features present in the New Maybach S650, it receives VR10-level protection. This type of protection is the highest level of armoured protection available in any car. The luxurious sedan can withstand the hard steel core bullets and is resistant to any type of explosion. In the case of a gas attack, it has a separate line for air supply.
 
It receives the power from a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that is capable of boosting the power of 523 bhp and the peak torque of 830Nm. It can be driven at the electrically controlled top speed of 190 kmph.  It is one of the safest vehicles available at present in the country. Apart, from the safety features, it continues to receive all the comfortable features which are present in its standard version.  
 
According to reports, the government has added two trims of the Maybach S650 in the fleet of the Prime Minister’s car. The second one is used to decoy. The honourable Prime Minister has used different cars since he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. This includes a bulletproof Mahindra Scorpio, Toyota Land Cruiser, and the Land Rover Range Rover Vogue.
