The UK-based carmaker MG Motors is set to launch one more product in the Indian car market. The upcoming vehicle is an electric vehicle and a small version of the existing ZS EV. It will be also named MG ZS EV and is currently ongoing test drives in Gujarat. According to company sources, the upcoming electric car is developed after keeping the needs of buyers looking for a small electric car within their budget.

The prototype of the ZS EV caught testing is the three-door car and comes with a light bar moving across the car to the rear fascia. It also receives a set of rectangular fog lamps and body-coloured bumpers. From the images leaked online this ZS EV looks like the smallest ever car in India that measures 2,900 mm in length. It will receive the power from a 20-25 kWh battery interconnected with an axle-attached electric motor developing the power of 68 hp. It is reported to deliver an average ranging between 200 km and 300 km on a single charge.
Speaking about the cosmetic updates the upcoming ZS EV looks identical to its current version except for a few changes like new alloy wheels and new LED tail lamps. Inside the cabin also it will continue with the same features, with new updates like a ten-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully-digital instrument cluster, and a large panoramic sunroof.
