MG Gloster SUV Spied Again This Time With Silver Paint
After the successful launch of Hector SUV, last year, MG Hector ZS EV in January this year, and Hector Plus SUV in July 2020, the British carmaker MG Motors is all set to launch its third initiative the Gloster SUV soon in the Indian car market. The company had showcased the SUV during the Indian Auto Expo 2020 held earlier this year. Earlier the company had released the teaser image of the SUV and now the recent teaser video on its official website the carmaker has expressed its intention of launching the SUV sometimes during the upcoming festive season.
According to reports the spies have succeeded in spotting the Gloster SUV undergoing the test drive recently on the road. The spied unit had sliver paint and six-spoke alloy wheels. Earlier also the spies have caught the testing unit of the Gloster undergoing the trials. The pictures captured earlier by the spies displayed the new quad exhaust pipe rather than the twin exhaust pipes as shown in the prototype that was showcased during the Auto Expo 2020. After the launch in the Indian car market, the Gloster SUV will be placed at the top of MG’s portfolio. Its components will be assembled at the company’s manufacturing unit in Halol, Gujarat.
Speaking about the engine configurations, nothing has been so far disclosed by the company, but it is believed to be empowered with a 2.0-liter diesel engine, outsourced from FCA, and mated with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The version of Gloster launched in the Chinese market is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 221 bhp and the torque of 360Nm. The transmission system in this unit is offered with an option of a six-speed automatic gearbox and a manual gearbox transmission system.
Some of the features as revealed by the spies are a large chrome-garnished front grille equipped with LED headlights, fog lamps, six-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels, chrome strip on the window line, silver skid plate, glossy black rear diffuser, roof spoiler, and many more on the exterior front. Inside the cabin, it will be embellished with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a three-zone automatic climate control system, leather upholstery, front seats with ventilation and massage facility, and a few more.
