British car maker Mini has launched the generation next Clubman in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 37.9 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). After Mini Cooper S Convertible, Clubman is the second vehicle launched by car maker in India during this year. Both the vehicles were showcased by the car maker during the Indian Auto Expo 2016. The new Clubman shares the same front-wheel-drive UKL platform and features as offered in Cooper S. 

 

 

The longest car ever built by car maker is empowered with 2.0 litre petrol engine has displacement capacity of 1998cc , generating the pwer of 189  bhp and torque of 280Nm. The engine transmission duty is carried by eight speed automatic Steptronic Transmission system. Talking about the changes introduced in New Clubman it would not be wrong to say it is miles ahead from its first generation. The front fascia now sports newly developed enlarged front grille with honeycomb followed by large chrome garnished slat with chrome surroundings. The conventional sweptback headlamp cluster now receives projector lights with LED DRLs. 

 

The front bumper receives muscular appearance in form of heavy lines and adorns new round shaped fog lamps. The side profile carries almost the same appearance as its first generation, but embellishes new alloy wheels and newly developed ORVMs and door handles followed by underbody plastic cladding. Moving towards the rear portion you will find two-door tailgate with chrome handles and company’s logo at their beneath. The horizontal tail lamps also receive new treatment and now adorn enlarged chrome border and new lighting pattern. Along with this the rear portion also receives new bumper and plastic cladding.

 

Inside the cabin you will find spacious cabin to offer comfortable seats to adults along with sufficient space to carry huge luggage. Other features available inside the cabin are newly developed dashboard, toggle switches, furbelows, frills, and most of the features outsourced from Cooper S.
