Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X and Cedia phased out in India
According to Mitsubishi India’s official website, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X luxury sedan and Mitsubishi Cedia mid-size sedan have been discontinued in India. As per company's official website, now these cars will no longer be sold in the country. And now, the company has no one sedan for sale here, but its SUV range will continue for sale. It is expected that after sometime the Japanese auto major will re-launch these car models in India with some of cosmetic changes and new features-specs.

Mitsubishi Cedia Sports was sold in India between Rs 8.24 lakh to Rs 8.90 lakh. It was available in petrol model only but two variants like Cedia Sport and Cedia Select. It was one of most powerful but least priced sedan cars in India. In domestic market the Cedia sedan was an option of Ford Fiesta, Maruti SX4, Honda City and Hyundai Verna. But due to poor sale the company has discontinued this model for unknown time period.

On the other hand, the company was selling Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X with a price tag of Rs 55 lakh. And it was option of Volvo S80, Mercedes Benz E Class and Nissan 370Z. The Indian version of the EVO X luxury sedan was loaded with a 2.0 L turbocharged intercooled gasoline engine that provides tremendous power and torque. It is expected that Mitsubishi could reintroduce this model to Indian customers after sometime with new changes. Meanwhile, the company will continue be selling its SUVs- Outlander, Pajero Sport and Montero.
