Mitsubishi Xpander MPV To Debut In India
For those who prefer to drive the vehicle embellished with power and performance then Xpander MPV from Japanese carmaker Mitsubishi will definitely something to drive. With domestic car maker Mahindra & Mahindra readying to bring its proposed MPV Marazzo and Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited to launch refresh Ertiga, Mitsubishi is speculating to launch its new MPV Xpander in the Indian car market in couple of years.

Informing about the launch of new MPV, Mr. Uttam Bose, Managing Director, Mitsubishi India said that apart from Crossover Eclipse, the company also plans to launch the Xpander MPV in the Indian car market as the part of its long term strategy. Where the Eclipse crossover is speculated to make its debut sometime during the beginning of 2020, the Xpander will be introduced closed to it. Well, moving back to Xpander, it was showcased by the company during the middle of 2017 and carries an aggressive look, in form of muscular wheel arches, shoulder line, pinched window line, crystal LED pilot lamps and many more.

The prototype of Xpander revealed by the company was empowered with 1.5 litre MIVEC petrol engine that generates the power of 105 bhp and the torque of 141 Nm. It will be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system followed by an option of four-speed automatic gearbox. As far as the Indian version of Xpander is concerned, it is not known that which type of engine configuration will be introduced by the company, however, we believe the company to offer it with an option of BS-VI-compliant diesel engine.

Talking about the features offered in Xpander, inside the cabin it will receive dual color treatment of beige and gray color combination, 6.2 inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, steering mounted audio controls, reverse camera, leather seats and various contemporary features. On the safety front, it will be equipped with ABS+EBD, active stability control and traction control system.
