M&M confirms the launch of U301 in mid of September 2015
Finally domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra has stopped all the predictions about its upcoming SUV codenamed as U301 which was also referred as generation next Bolero. It is reported that the SUV would be named as Mahindra TUV300 and will be launched in segment referring to Tough Utility Vehicle. The fresh reports also reveal that TUV 300 will not replace the highly acclaimed SUV Bolero or any other product from car maker’s portfolio.
According to sources domestic car maker will launch TUV 300 after six weeks from today which completes in the mid of September this year. The design of TUV 300 has been developed by renowned Italian designer house known as Pininfarina. It will be empowered with generation next diesel engine configuration known as mHawk 80, this newly introduced engine has higher NVH level and performance than compared to 1.5 litre engine that is configured in Quanto.
Moving ahead the reports also reveal that in global market TUV 300 would be launched with 4WD system and will not be launched at the time of its launch in Indian car market. The TUV 300 with 4WD system would be blessed with LHD version. The SUV is reported to be manufactured at company’s Chakan plant where at present it is manufacturing XUV 500.
