Indian car market is soon to have five new cars and these cars have recently been in the list of top five upcoming cars. These include, Maruti Ertiga MPV, Chevrolet Sail hatchback and sedan, Mahindra mini Xylo, Renault Duster and Ford Ecosport. These five cars will be new entries in the hatchback, MPV, sedan and SUV segment. Out of these five upcoming cars, three are SUV so one can expect that this segment will be the hottest of all. The countdown for the launch of these cars has already begun and starting April 12 one can see them around.

The first one to take entry will be the Maruti Ertiga MPV. This will be the Toyota Innova rival and will be launched in both petrol and diesel engine option. The seven seater multi purpose vehicle is also the first true MPV offering by Maruti India and it will be quite bigger than Maruti Omni and Maruti Eeco the utility cars segment. It is expected to be priced around Rs 7 lakh and above.

Next is the Chevrolet Sail sisters, the Chevrolet Sail hatchback and Sail sedan. These will be brought to Indian as per the American-Chinese joint venture Chevrolet-SAIC. The Sail hatchback will be coming first than the Sail sedan. Both the Sail sedan and the hatchback are expected to be low priced and thus the Indian market is eagerly waiting for it. Where the Sail hatchback price is expected to start at Rs 5.5 lakh the sedan price is expected to be Rs 6 lakh. Launch of Sail sisters will be in the coming months.

Now the third upcoming car is the most happening one and the anticipation has just received a kick due to some spy images emerging on the internet. It is the Mahindra Xylo Mini. Though it will be the under four metre avatar of the new Mahindra Xylo that was launched recently and thus will be a smaller MUV, some believe that it will have hatchback proportions. Price is expected to remain around Rs 5 lakh and launch will be this Diwali.

Then comes the two SUVs one from the French stable and another from American car maker. The Renault Duster SUV will be a full sized SUV and thus will be reforming the SUV market in India. It is expected to be priced around Rs 8.5 lakh and launch will be somewhere around this June or this Diwali. The Ford Ecosport will be an under four meter SUV and will be available in both diesel and petrol options. The Ford Ecosport SUV is already in Brazil and the new generation car will be launched in India in the coming months. The price will be around Rs 8.5 lakh.
