MSIL retains its dominance in Indian Car Market
Despite of new vehicles being launched in Indian car market in all segments, country’s leading car manufacturer succeeded in retaining its dominance in passenger vehicle segment. According to latest sales reports revealed by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturer’s three cars from Maruti Suzuki India Limited succeeded in making their position in best selling 10 cars in Indian car market during the month of November this year. Interestingly the recent launch from car maker Baleno hatchback has succeeded in making its place in the list. The Alto hatchback from Indo-Japanese car maker continued its top position in the month of November also with 21,995 units sold during the month.

The compact sedan Dzire emerged as the second bestselling car with 15,463 units sold during the month of November this year. Company’s other product WagonR stood at third position with 13,986 units sold during the same period. Unfortunately hatchback Swift slipped from to fifth position and was replaced from its fourth position by Grand i10 from second largest car manufacturer in country HMIL. The sixth position was captured by Eite i20 from Korean car maker.
The seventh position was captured by recently launched hatchback Baleno again by MSIL , this was something surprising for industry. Because the hatchback snatched position from the premium sedan Honda City which was placed at the same position last year. The eighth, ninth and tenth positions were positioned by Hyundai Eon, Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Mahindra Bolero respectively.
