MSIL ‘s discount offer continues

For those who are speculating to buy a new Maruti Suzuki for their family this year, here is great news which will bring huge smile on their faces. It is reported that with an objective to enhance its sales has announced to continue the existing discounts and other interesting schemes on its various models as earlier. According to Mr. Ajay Seth, CFO, Maruti Suzuki India, company had offered an average discount of Rs. 17,500 on its all models during the last months of financial year ended on March 31, 2014. But going through the current scenario company has decided to continue the discount and all other schemes till the present situation improves. He also said that company is regularly recording queries about different discount schemes being offered on its different models but unfortunately these queries are not enhancing the sales. However company believes that with changing economic scenario conditions will improve and these queries will turn into sales.
 
Company has offered the discount of about Rs.50,500 on purchase of Swift hatchback diesel variant and discount of Rs. 43,000 on purchase of diesel variant of Swift Dzire. Apart from this it has also offered huge discount of Rs. 72,100 on purchase of CNG version of Wagon R.  It would be interested to surprisingly Indian auto industry has witnessed the huge decline in sales of vehicle which is mainly because of regular hike in prices of fuel, fluctuations in Indian economy and declining value of rupee as against U.S. Dollar. All efforts adopted by government in form of decline in excise duty and by companies have failed to improve the situation so far.
 
Moving ahead where at one country’s leading car manufacturing company is offering huge discount on purchase of its different products company’s like M&M, Honda Motors have hiked the prices of their specific models. When asked to Mr. Seth regarding MSIL’s decision of hiking prices following the path of other company, he said that company will not the hike prices until the situation does not improve.
