Maruti Suzuki Starts Exposing Baleno RS, Confirms Boosterjet Engine

Country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited is going to start its journey for this year by launching the RS version of its highly acclaimed hatchback Baleno on March 3, 2017. And, now finally the Indo-Japanese duo have started promoting the same on official facebook page of Nexa confirming that Baleno RS will be empowered with Boosterjet engine configuration. Prior to this the car maker had showcased the prototype of Baleno RS during the Indian Auto Expo 2016 where it succeeded in impressing the visitors of all segments. Like regular Baleno, it will be also sold through Nexa Showrooms across the India.

The new 1.0L BoosterJet Engine will be capable of generating the power of 100 hp and torque of 150Nm and transmission duties will be performed by five speed manual gearbox system. The proposed engine configuration is the first turbocharged petrol engine that will be offered in any of the cars introduced by the car maker in Indian car market. To make the Baleno RS look different from the standard Baleno, the car maker has customized it with dual projector headlamps with LED DRLs as standard feature. The list of other noticeable changes include on the exterior front are Electronic folding wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators. Inside the cabin it will sport reverse camera and parking sensors, smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and Apple CarPlay, dual front airbags and anti-lock braking system.
Other cosmetic changes will include redesigned front and rear bumpers, black alloy wheels and completely new grille at the front fascia. After launch in India it will compete against Volkswagen Polo GT and Fiat Punto Abarth.
