MSIL To Launch Bunch Of Facelifts In 2018

Recording the growth of 10.3% in the month of December 2017 country’s leading car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited will definitely try to sustain its growth during this also and dominate its top position in the country. The Indo-Japanese car makers will began their journey for 2018 in the Indian car market by launching the third generation of their best selling hatchback during the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2018. The India bound version of Swift was showcased during the 87th Geneva Motor Show held in the March 2017.
 
Maruti Suzuki Swift: Developed on new light weight Heartect platform the new Swift is reported to be equipped with bunch of contemporary features like flat-bottom steering wheel with controls, a twin-pod instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Bluetooth AUX, USB and Apple CarPlay connectivity. As far as engine configuration is concerned it is reported to be offered with the existing 1.2 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel engines followed by the option of manual and automatic transmission system.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: After showcasing the generation next Ertiga MPV in the Indian Auto Expo the MSIL will launch the same during the second half of this year. Like Swift, Ertiga is also rumored to be developed on the same Heartect platform and offered with new indigenous 1.5 litre four cylinder diesel engine replacing the existing 1.3 litre diesel engine. As far as petrol variant is concerned it is believed to retain the existing 1.4 litre K series petrol engine mated with five speed manual transmission system. In its new avatar the Ertiga might be sold through Nexa dealerships.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R: It is reported that the tallboy of MSIL will undergo major cosmetic updates during the 2018 and will carry the features of both Wagon R and Wagon R Stingray merged in one unit.

Maruti Suzuki Vitar Brezza: According to reports the MSIL might introduce the petrol variant of its best selling compact SUV Vitara Brezza in the Indian car market sometimes during the festive season of Diwali.
