New BMW M5 launched, priced Rs. 1.35 crore (ex-showroom price)
German luxurious car maker BMW today launched the refreshed luxurious sedan BMW M5 in Indian car market through its Indian alliance BMW India with starting price of Rs. 1.35 crore (ex-showroom price). The new BMW M5 sports the same existing 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine boosting the power of 560 bhp and torque of 680 Nm. The sedan has undergone subtle cosmetic changes on the exteriors and interiors front. The sedan has been offered with M Dual clutch transmission system and accelerates the speed from standstill to 100 kmph within the span of just 4.3 seconds.

The cosmetic changes offered on the exteriors include new enhanced front air inlets along with LED headlights giving the front fascia an aggressive look. Inside the cabin it receives newly developed M steering wheel followed by chrome garnish at the control panel of iDrive. The sedan would be offered in passionate Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect, Singapore Grey and Space Grey (metallic paint) colors. The sedan in Indian car market would be brought through CBR route and will compete against Mercedes Benz E 63.
Addressing the launch event of new BMW M5 Mr. Philipp von Shar, President, BMW India said, the new BMW M5 is miles ahead from its erstwhile version and does not follow any conventional rule. It is typical an athletic sedan and retains its sincerity towards company’s philosophy of superior performance and high quality.
