New car launches in September, countdown begins

It has rained well in August in India and there will be onset of monsoon in the car industry starting September as there will be lot of car launches. There will be some anticipated launches while there will be some surprises as well. Almost all car makers will be launching new cars in India eyeing the car buying spree that is in the waiting this festive season. Among other some cars are worth mentioning and are coming this September. These are Renault Scala, Mahindra Quanto, Nissan Evalia, Chevrolet Sail and Tata Safari Storme.

Renault Scala

This is the remix version of Nissan Sunny sedan car and is expected on September 7. The Renault Scala price is expected to start at Rs 5.99 lakh. With this car, Renault will ensure its presence in the sedan segment where it lacked a viable offering. Apart from French styling, the car proposes a lot of other features such as the trust and dependable 1.5 petrol and diesel engine options.

Mahindra Quanto

Mahindra Quanto is the sub four meter SUV avatar of the Mahindra Xylo MPV. It will be a lookalike of the Mahindra XUV 500 and is expected to draw many features from it. This seven seater car will be priced somewhere around Rs 5.5 lakh and Renault Duster and Premier Rio will hate Mahindra for launching this car in India. The 65 PS three pot mHawk engine will be making the car more than a worth buy. The Mahindra Quanto price is expected to be rock bottom and what Mahindra plans is a bumper Diwali.

Nissan Evalia

This is the big sized, mammoth space MPV in the Rs 8 lakh to Rs 10 lakh segment. This will be an excellent option for those who need an extra elbow and shoulder space for seven adults inside a car. Already unveiled at the 2012 Auto Expo, the Nissan Evalia has recently been showcased to the media. The 1.5 L K9K turbo diesel engine will take the mileage standard from such as big car like the Evalia to newer levels. The commercial avatar of the Evalia – Ashok Leyland Stile will be launched later.

Chevrolet Sail UVA

This is the replacement for the Chevrolet Aveo UVA and the 1.3 L multijet engine powered car will be an instant fame for its exceptional mileage and space inside. However, experts are of the view that it will only be the price that will be a deciding factor for the success of this new car in town. As per sources information, the Chevrolet Sail is expected to be priced at Rs 5 lakh.

Tata Safari Storme

It will be the first car launch by Tata this year and it is expected that it will trigger the launch spree soon. The Tata Safari Storme is based on the Tata Aria platform and will be priced around Rs 12 lakh. This will be a 4x2 car and later the 4x4 version will also arrive. Apart from new looks the Safari Storme is a true copy of the existing Safari but the new platform will give it an edge over its predecessor.
