New cars launching this year

There are seven wonders to look for in the near future in the Indian car market. These are though the revamped or improved version of the already launched cars but are awaited like a new car launch. These are Maruti Swift Sport, Maruti Ritz from the Maruti stable, Chevrolet Cruze from the Americans, Mahindra Verito from homegrown SUV maker, Italian car New Fiat Linea, Chevrolet Captiva SUV again from the Americans and Mercedes Benz M Class that has launched today. Where two each belong to the hatchback and the SUV segment, three of these are sedans worth waiting for.

Maruti Swift Sport

This is the sports car avatar of the Maruti Swift hatchback in India. Available internationally in three door and five door avatar, the Swift Sport is highly anticipated in India. However, reports suggest that the one that will be available to India will be a toned down version of it and it will be a sports car only from the exteriors. If Maruti imports it as it is, it will cost somewhat near to BMW X1 and nobody will buy Swift hatchback even if it is sporty enough at this price. Maruti Swift Sport launch is imminent and could be a surprise gift by Maruti.

Maruti Ritz

The new Maruti Ritz is almost certain when it has shed its looks to the recently launched Maruti Ertiga. The new Ritz is expected to have a new front and somewhat straitened rear which is curved right now and that has attracted the censure of a lot of car buyers. Apart from this, there is no engine configuration change expected as Ritz is known for its power delivery and mileage performance. New Maruti Ritz launch could happen anytime from now.

Chevrolet Cruze

The premium sedan from the American stable is all set to arrive in a new avatar. With the DOHC 2.0 litre, Z series engine under hood, the new Cruze will have 163 bhp power and considerably high mileage than the present generation car. The present model is powered by a 150 bhp engine. The Chevrolet Cruze is expected by next month end.

Mahindra Verito

Mahindra will be giving its sole sedan a facelift just before it gets its under four meter model. The new Verito is expected to have a changed front grille, a prominent line on the engine hood and an upright stance. On the inside, the new Mahindra Verito will have new seats, a new instrument cluster and rearranged central console. The engine department is expected to remain the same.

New Fiat Linea

The new Fiat Linea that has lately got a makeover is readying itself for another one. The new Linea sedan will have more contemporary and refreshed looks. Now that Fiat is establishing its own identity, it is also rehashing its cars to present them in a new look.

Chevrolet Captiva

This could be the major uplift for the Captiva SUV that was in a sincere need of a facelift. Besides, the makeover will also make it more decently priced in India and will further boost its capabilities in the country. The changes include a completely changed front look, larger air intake area, and the engine will be a 2.2 l turbo diesel one that will be tuned in two ways - 163 hp and 184 hp.  The new Chevrolet Captiva is expected to arrive by October at a price tag between Rs 19 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.

Mercedes Benz M Class

The new Mercedes Benz M Class is a car worth waiting for and the wait is over now with the launch of it today. The ML 350 CDI model promises efficiency as well as power delivery. With a power delivery of 258 PS the new Mercedes SUV sprints to 100 kmph in just 7.4 seconds.
