New Cars Ready To Start Their Innings In June 2022
In recent years the Indian car market has emerged as one of the hubs for car manufacturers across the world. Every year a huge number of new and facelift cars are launched in India. The year 2022 is no exception to this, from January 2022 to May 2022 we have seen several new launches in the car market. Following the same trend, the month of June is also going to witness the launch of new cars and some facelifts. Some of the highly awaited launches of the month are:
Mahindra Scorpio N: It is one of the highly awaited launches of the year which will mark its launch in June this year. As Scorpio has been one of the best selling SUVs by the homegrown carmaker, people have high expectations from its new generation. The company has already revealed its exterior and images in teasers and pictures. It will be placed between the XUV700 and the Thar. The powertrains will include a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-lite diesel engine. The transmission duties in both these variants will be performed by a six-speed manual gear transmission system, followed by an option of a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission system. It will also be available in a 4x4 driving option on the top-end trims. After its launch in India, the existing version of Scorpio will be named “Scorpio Classic”.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza: The Indo-Japanese carmaker the Maruti Suzuki India Limited will launch the facelift version of the compact SUV Vitara Brezza on June 30, 2022. In its new avatar, the compact SUV will receive the name Maruti Suzuki Brezza, thus replacing Vitara as its prefix. It will receive the power from a new 1.5-litre K12C petrol engine, outsourced from Ertiga and XL6. The transmission system will include an option of a five-speed manual gear transmission system, and a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission system. According to reports the country’s leading car manufacturing company is going to offer a bunch of new features in Brezza 2022.
Citroen 3: The French carmaker Citroen is also getting to launch the C3 compact SUV in the Indian car market in June 2022. It is the second product by the carmaker in India after C5 Aircross. The C3 will receive the power from a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, mated with a five-speed manual gear transmission system and an option of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission system.
Hyundai Venue: Hyundai India, the Indian alliance of Korean carmaker Hyundai Motors is going to launch the facelift version compact SUV Venue soon in the Indian market. Its launch is slated for June 16, 2022, and the company has already initiated its booking through its dealerships. Under the hood, the 2022 Venue will continue the existing powertrain but will undergo lots of new add-on features on both exterior and interior.
Volkswagen Virtus: The German luxurious carmaker Volkswagen is all set to launch the compact sedan Virtus in India under its INDIA 2.0 strategy. According to reports the Virtus carries most of its cues from the recently launched Slavia sedan by the Czech carmaker Skoda. Alike, Slavia, Virtus will also be launched with the two engine options of a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The former will generate the power of 115 PS and torque of 178 Nm, the latter will generate the power of 150 PS and the torque of 250Nm. The variant with a 1.0-litre engine will be mated with a six-speed manual gearbox and with an option of a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission system. The 1.5-litre version will perform the transmission duties with a seven-speed DSG-dual clutch automatic transmission system.
