New EV From Tata Motors Ready For Unveil On April 6, 2022
The dominance of homegrown carmaker Tata Motors in the electric vehicle segment is not hidden from anyone. After the successful launch of the compact SUV Nexon EV, and compact sedan Tigor EV, the carmaker is set to unveil its new electric vehicle in the international market on April 6, 2022.

Recently the company has released a teaser, giving a glimpse of the upcoming EV with its unveiling date. The company has not revealed any details. With this teaser, the company has made all the rumours regarding the launch of the updated Nexon EV in April 2022. The new teaser exhibits the front fascia of the vehicle with LED DRLs. It also receives a split headlamp. The main headlamp is mounted on the bumper below the main bumper. The headlamp receives triangular treatment.
Based on the teaser it is rumoured that the new EV may be a Coupe SUV that the company will introduce in 2023. It will be based on the X1 platform outsourced from Nexon EV. It will look larger than Nexon and receive the features like long rear doors, a new rear end, and a tapering roof. The wheelbase will be extended up to 50 mm.
According to the image shown in the teaser, it will receive grey coloured machine cut alloy wheels followed by an inclining rear windscreen and a spoiler integrated on the roof. The rear fascia will also be decorated with the Tata logo and an EV badge. Grapevine is that it will get the power from a 49kWh battery that will deliver an average of 400 km on a single charge. It will also be offered in petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant will come with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, while the diesel with a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine.
