New Fiat compact SUV and a small car announced, launch next year

It’s time that Fiat should get back into action and come up with something exciting and thrilling. Apparently, the carmaker is ready to bring in a new compact SUV and a new small car into the global car bazaar. The SUV will give a tough competition to Renault Duster and EcoSport by Ford, while the small car will take on Hyundai Eon, Alto and Datsun. It’s been quite long that Fiat is waiting to get back on track and enter the Indian car bazaar with a small car. The company has been working on its network and dealership in the country already. It means that Fiat India has been doing its homework very well. According to the fresh reports in the market, the firm will bring in the small here by 2014.

Up till now, the carmaker hasn’t revealed much about the small car, but instead it is right now concentrating on its dealership network. It is very important for Fiat to do so because the small car segment in India is highly competitive and the established and prominent carmakers are dominating the section. Therefore, it is crucial for the company to strengthen its sales network.

Talking about the SUV, Fiat is well-aware of the fact that Indian car market is flooded with many affordable compact SUVs and they are being appreciated by the car fanatics. Thus, Fiat made the right decision by planning out a compact SUV for India. So far the details of this one have been kept under the hood, but rumors suggest that the car will be offered in both turbo diesel and petrol engine options. Whenever this compact SUV is launched in the market, it has to be prepared to face competition from Mahindra Quanto, Renault Duster and upcoming Ford EcoSport.

Renault Duster and Ford Ecosport will be the more rival of upcoming Fiat SUV as these have classy appearance and high-features.

Mahindra, Tata and Duster should tight their seat belts now. Fiat Diesel engines are the best in their class and many OEM are manufacturing cars in conjuction with them. I do expect that Fiat will counter with quality products this time.
