New Fiat Grande Punto launched in India, priced at Rs 4.81 lakh
The wait is over today, as Italy based carmaker Fiat India has launched the all-new 2012 Fiat Grande Punto hatchback in New Delhi. The launch prior to the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo is essentially a flag-off to the mega event as this is first launch of the New Year. The new version of the favorite car now comes in an exclusive ‘Oceanic Blue’ metallic shade on exteriors and well-toned air-conditioner along with new pattern seat covers in the insides furthermore, there are many other elements that new hatchback hold. The New Fiat Grande Punto starts from INR 4.81 Lakh for base petrol variant and INR 5.48 Lakh for entry-level diesel version. The car competes with Maruti Swift, Ford Figo and Hyundai i20.
To ensure better ride quality, the ground clearance is elevated and an integrated music system and central locking system will be seen in all the New Grande Punto variants. The seatbelts and floor carpets are replaced by brand new ones. A light-shade beige ambience will be felt in the insides and old seat cloth will make way for new seat fabric, a revamped instrument panel and new door trim will be observed in your beloved vehicle.

The New Fiat Grande Punto is offered in two different displacements of petrol engines with 1.2L Active and Dynamic trims priced at INR 4.81 Lakh and INR 5.04 Lakh respectively. The extraordinary 1.4L petrol Emotion trim will cost around INR 6.54 Lakh. The diesel engines are powered by 1.3L motor that comprise of three trims with Active priced at INR 5.48 Lakh while Dynamic at INR 6.11 Lakh and the top-end model Emotion comes at INR 6.71 lakh.
Fiat India will not be attending the 2012 Delhi Expo but there is another surprise from Fiat India and that will be the inauguration of Fiat Caffe on 6th January. Fiat Caffe is a strategic move by the company as standalone dealership across the country, it will be a place where Italian car-lovers will seen checking out Fiat products while sipping coffee.
