New Fiat Punto spied on Indian roads

Where at one side Fiat India is all set to launch its all new Fiat Linea, the saloon sedan in Indian car market sometimes in next month, on the other side it is also working on introducing the completely facelift Punto by end of this year. According to reports the new Punto has been witnessed going test drive in Pune, close to company’s production plant at Ranjangaon. Although the new Punto was being tested camouflaged.
 
Industry experts believe that the new Punto will carry the same existing engine configuration as available in the existing petrol and diesel variants of Punto. The petrol variant will be offered with two engine options under beneath, one with 1.2 litre petrol engine churning the power of 68 bhp and other one with 1.4 litre petrol engine developing the power of 90 bhp. While the diesel variant will be offered with same 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine with two options of power development i.e., 75 PS and 90 PS.

It is also speculated that similar to Fiat Linea the Fiat Punto will also receive major upgrades on exteriors and interiors, which might include newly developed front and rear portion blessed with newly designed  bumpers, new headlight and tail lights. While the interiors will also receive dashboard in completely new layout and equipped with material of superior quality. Apart from New Punt, the future plans of Fiat India includes launch of new Avventura and Abarth cars both unveiled during the Indian Auto Expo 2014.
