New Ford Focus sedan unveiled in Thailand, Indian innings soon
Ford is as active globally as it is in India and it seems that the global sales target it has set for itself is behind the energy. Ford has unveiled the new Ford Focus sedan in Thailand which will be sold in the major markets in Asia. These include India, China and other Asian countries. The new Focus sedan by Ford is also expected to be launched in India soon. As per the preliminary reports, the Ford Focus sedan is expected to be priced around Rs 12 lakh and will be launched in India in May-June this year.

The new Ford sedan will be joining the Ford Fiesta sedan in India that has recently got the automatic avatar as well as a low priced Ambiente model. The Ford Focus specifications available reveal that the Ford car will be powered by a 1.6 litre engine which is able to produce a maximum power of 125 PS. It is also believed that the new Focus could also have a more powerful 2 litre 170 PS engine.

Joe Hinrichs, president, Ford Asia Pacific and Africa president unveiled the new Ford Focus in Thailand on Monday. Equipped with premium segment features such as Park Assist which is active in nature that means the car has sensors that ease parking. It also has the more recent safety features Active City Stop that stops the car as soon as the car detects an object coming in front of the car suddenly. It is also believed to take many features from the world edition of Ford Fiesta. The Ford Focus is now three generation old and is currently sold in Europe and America. Similar to the Ford Endeavour, Ford will be importing the kits of Focus to the Chennai or the Sanand plant and will be assembling it.
