New Ford Mondeo grace the Indian market by the end of 2013
American automaker, Ford is precisely working for its Indian operations and announced to launch new seven global models that will be assembled with the “One Ford” philosophy of the company. The next generation Ford Mondeo/ Fusion is one among the upcoming models that will get some alterations under the One Ford global philosophy, showcased at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.
The European variant of Ford Mondeo will go through some redesigning process marking distinction to its American version. Its European model will be available for the Indian buyers, expected to launch by the end of 2013.

The European Ford Mondeo will be available in the diesel engine options that may toughen its way to success in Indian auto market where this segment is dominated by the diesel powered luxury cars. The upcoming Mondeo is stylish, larger and more spacious than its previous versions. The sharp Aston Martin-ish front grille looks aggressive and elegant.

Company will launch the new Ford Mondeo with a range of 1.6 litre and 2 litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engines boosted by direct injection and variable valve timing that will deliver the outstanding performance.
As per the speculations, the new Mondeo will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and if the company will start the manufacturing of this car in India by means of CKD kit, it will reduce the production cost. The Skoda Superb, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Sonata Fluidic and Volkswagen Passat will be the main rivals of the upcoming Ford Mondeo.
