New Gumpert Supercar to be unveiled at 2012 Geneva Motor Show

Gumpert, a Germany based super luxury sports car maker, is planning to launch a new version its popular sports car – Gumpert Apollo – at the upcoming International Motor Show at Geneva next year. The Gumpert super cars have been appreciated for their high performance and different appearance. The company has released a teaser image of this upcoming super car which bears somewhat similarities with Apollo model. The new version of the car will be a race ready car same as its predecessors are.

The Gumpert supercars are known for their performance oriented designs, making them appear somewhat horrible. These cars are built on carbon fiber body panels. These are not the cars for super rich people but for the performance and speed freak people.

Powered by a 4.2 litre V8 engine, the Gumpert Apollo model is capable of delivering a peak power of 650 horsepower. The power of the engine has been boosted by two turbochargers. According to media reports, the company will also produce two more powerful versions of this car for the customers who crave for higher engine power. These higher engine power variants include Apollo Sport and Apollo Race that deliver a peak power of over 700 bhp. The car has an advanced six-speed sequential gearbox.

The car comes with performance boosting adjustable aerodynamic aides such as a big rear spoiler in combination with front splitter.
