New Hyundai Sonata and Elantra re-launch confirmed

Hyundai Elantra that has bagged accolade worldwide and was almost acclaimed the best selling car in some countries is soon to make a reentry in India. This time it will be the next generation Hyundai Elantra that will woo the prospective car buyers of Maruti’s premium sedans viz Maruti SX4 and others along with Hyundai Sonata that will take head on with Maruti Kizashi and others. As per sources soon Maruti is going to launch the new version of Maruti SX4 soon. Besides Maruti, Hyundai Elantra will be making the turf tougher for Honda Civic, Renault Fluence, Toyota Corolla and Skoda Laura.

Hyundai Motor India Director of the Marketing & Sales, Arvind Saxena has reportedly said that Hyundai will be launching two cars in India soon and these cars will be supply a viable option in the premium car segment. With this, the Korean carmaker will be launching the Hyundai Elantra sedan priced at Rs 10-13 lakh and Hyundai Sonata at Rs 16-20 lakh and will then be addressing the premium sedan market pretty well. The Sonata sedan will be competing with Toyota Camry, Volkswagen Passat, Honda Accord and Skoda Superb besides Nissan Teana in India.

Apart from other factors, the reentry of these Hyundai cars in India is expected to be smooth as these have already seen the land and had a good response here during their first tenure. Now that these are almost ready for a second entry in the Indian market, experts believe that since Hyundai is an established brand in India and people have seen that both these Hyundai cars have done exceptionally well at the international platform these will be taken easily in India.   

Out of the two upcoming Hyundai cars in India, Hyundai Sonata will be launched in this month followed by Hyundai Elantra this Diwali. These cars will further help strengthen the presence of Hyundai in India and will help it better secure a place than Tata cars in India.
