New Nissan Micra and Duster based SUV in the offing
The Japanese car maker Nissan has unveiled the facelifted Nissan Micra for international markets. And now, the company is mulling to bring out a next generation or fully facelifted avatar of this small car for Indian auto market. Along with this, Nissan India will also bring out a Renault Duster based compact SUV in the country to take on Ford EcoSport. Both the new car models would be launched by the end of this year.
The new avatar of the small car Micra will have facelift and refined exterior and interior features. For International market it has got revised rear spoiler and front bumper, new fog lamps and headlamps, blackened dashboard, new LED tail lamps, 15 inch alloy wheels, new graphics on MID, Automatic air conditioner, rear parking sensor, break notice and many more. In Indian domestic market the company has also indicated to introduce a low-cost version of the new Micra to drive past Alto 800 and Spark.
On the other hand, the new Nissan compact SUV will also be launched this year end. It will be based on the hit SUV, Duster but will have revised interiors. It would also be offered in both petrol and diesel engine models. The company is reported to play price game for new compact SUV to challenge the new launching compact sports utility vehicle Ecosport. Although, to give a tough competition to Honda Amaze and Maruti Swift Dzire, Nissan has recently launched an automatic transmission version of Sunny sedan.
