New Skoda SUV and updated Mahindra Xylo in pipe line
At present, Skoda Auto India, 100 per cent subsidary of Czech carmaker Skoda is facing tough competition from other car makers in SUV segment. The company sales one SUV Skoda Yeti in domestic market which is not doing well against the new entered competitors like Mahindra XUV 500, Renault Duster. Thus, the company has plans about the launch of a new sports utility vehicle by near future that will take position above the already available Yeti crossover.

On the other hand, country's leading utility vehicle maker firm Mahindra & Mahindra is also reported to introduce an updated version of the Mahindra Xylo MPV by near future. The Xylo MPV has been facing some competition from Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova and Nissan Evalia. And now, the Chevrolet Enjoy is also ready to eat the market share of this popular MPV. Thus, M&M will launch the updated version for 'E' range that now will have the mEagle engine under the cap.

Meanwhile, Skoda India is likely to develop the new SUV on the base of Volkswagen's famous MQB platform. To win the hearts of both, fuel efficiency and performance lovers, the Czech auto major will launch the new SUV with both petrol and diesel engine options as well as manual and automatic transmission system choices.
