New Toyota Innova and Fortuner spotted in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motors, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese leading car maker Toyota, is all set to give a new breath of life to its India portfolio. The company is all set to launch new generation versions of its most popular cars in the Indian market including multi utility vehicle (MUV) Toyota Innova and Sports Utility Vehicle Toyota Fortuner. The launch of vehicles seems to be very near as spy pictures of the new generation Innova and Fortuner were recently posted on a number of automotive news portals and blogs.

Both 2012 Toyota Innova and 2012 Toyota Fortuner will be showcased at the upcoming Delhi International Auto Expo, where a large number of car enthusiast will be eagerly waiting for these cars to be uncovered.

Toyota Innova 2012, one of the most awaited vehicles in the Indian market, was showcased at the Indonesian Motor Show, where it had grabbed major attentions of the visiting customers. The New Innova carries a number of cosmetic upgraded at both interior and exterior fronts. At the exterior, the car will be carrying a substantial facelift, thanks to its newly designed lights and refreshed grille.

The earlier Van-like look has been tired to be changed by positioning the upright grille more vertical on the car. While the newly designed headlights seem like stretched to fenders, the designs of front fog lamps is also a bit different as compared to the existing version of the car. Besides a face lift at the front, the other major changes at the exterior of the car include newly styled bumper, number plat housing and new tail-lamps.

Inside, the new Innova model carries a number of cosmetic upgrades including bigger knobs for manual AC, fascinating central console with wooden inserts, new music system, refreshed upholstery and a new Corolla Altis like steering. Moreover, the advanced multimedia features like touch-screen audio system are also expected to find a place in the feature list. Though the engine unit of the car is expected to remain the same as before, but an improvement in power and torque figure is expected.

The 2012 Toyota Fortuner on the other hand, will be carrying a more aggressive face-life with a wider nose design, newly styled sculpted bonnet that has bigger scoops for intake of air, new headlamps, broader chrome grille. The new generation Fortuner gives an impression of Land Cruiser model of the company. Interior changes in the SUV include newly designed seats, new wooden trim which is darker as compared to the existing model, new central console design with silver finish, and new steering wheel. In addition to this, the company is expected to add an automatic transmission version in the line-up of Fortuner in the Indian market.
