New Volkswagen Vento ready for launch, bookings open
According to recent industry reports Volkswagen dealers across the country have commenced the bookings of refreshed Vento at the down payment varying between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 75,000. The Vento is expected to launch in Indian car market on June 23, 2015. Under the hood Volkswagen Vento 2015 will continue with the existing 1.5 litre diesel engine boosting the power of 103.5 bhp and torque of 250 Nm at 4,400 rpm and rpm varying from 1,500 to 2,500 respectively. It would be mated with five speed manual transmission system. The petrol variant would also be enriched with existing 1.2 litre TSI and 1.6 litre MPI engines and would be offered with five speed manual transmission and seven speed DSG automatic transmission system.
On the exteriors front the Vento will receive newly developed front bumper followed by three plated chrome garnished grille and enlarged air dam. Other features that would be offered includes auto folding electronic adjustable ORVMs, dead pedal, cooled glovebox, and cruise control. After launch it will compete against Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna 4S and Honda City.
