Nissan India changes senior management

One of world’s biggest automobile companies, Nissan Motors Limited have made changes to its senior management team in India, keeping in mind the growth strategies for the auto market in India. Trevor Mann, who was Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Production Engineering’s SPV for Nissan International in Europe, has now been made Global Supply Chain Management and Operating Committee’s SVP for India, Africa and Middle East.

Toru Hasegawa, President of Nissan Motor Asia Pacific co. Ltd and Nissan Motor Thailand co. Ltd, has now been appointed as Corporate Vice President for India, Africa and Middle East. Hence, Mr. Hasegawa is now supposed to report to Mr. Mann, which in turn replaces Gilles Normand, who is now at a senior position with Renault, Nissan’s Alliance Partner. Nissan Sunny Pictures

Takayuki Ishida, the General Manager of Nissan Motor co. Ltd’s India department in Japan has now been transferred to Chennai for taking the job of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd’s Managing Director.

The Managing Director (Before Mr. Takayushi Ishida) of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd, Kiminobu Tokuyama has been sent back to Japan to take up the job of an executive at Yorozu Corporation, Nissan’s leading automobile component supplier. The General Manager of Vehicle Production Engineering at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd in Japan, Toshihiko Sano, has been appointed as Managing Director of Renault Nissan Automobile India Pvt. Ltd. He has been sent to Chennai at Nissan’s manufacturing facility in Oragadam.

The Managing Director of Chennai’s Plant, Kou Kimura, has been sent back to Japan for working at a senior position with the Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering Division at Nissan Motors Limited. Toru Hasegawa commented: “Nissan is becoming an increasingly significant presence in India. We recently added to our already broad product range with the popular Nissan Sunny sedan and announced that the all-new Nissan Evalia will go into production in Chennai this summer.
