Nissan launches safety driving forum in India
Nissan India asserted the launch of Nissan Safety Driving Forum in India to increase awareness regarding road safety and bring to light the benefits of using safety technologies in cars. Nissan organized this program in Mumbai. NSFD was held at the parking area of The Inorbit Mall in Malad in Mumbai on February 16th and February 17th, 2013. Nissan inducted this program in the capital city of India, New Delhi in the beginning of this month.
Nissan also plans to conduct this program in Chennai. Panel displays and simulator devices were used to teach participants regarding safety technologies used in the car in this two day long program. Apart from this the participants were also told about the significance of seatbelts and functioning of airbag at the safety forum. What made it more interesting was that the participants could test drive Nissan cars and learn about onboard safety technologies like Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS).
Mr. Takayuki Ishida, Managing Director & CEO, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd, was also present at the occasion of the launch of this program said that the number of accidents are increasing every year. Nissan has taken a step to generate awareness among the customers regarding the importance of safety features and what significance they hold to prevent accidents. Nissan Safety Driving Forum is to educate co-passengers, drivers and pediatricians as to how one can bring down the number of accidents happening on roads. Nissan aims at reducing injuries due to traffic accidents through Nissan Safety Driving Forum.
