Nissan reveals first image of compact SUV Kicks
Japanese auto giant Nissan has teased the first image of its proposed compact SUV Kicks ahead of its launch during the inaugural session of Rio Olympics 2016. According to reports Kicks will be the official car of event which will escort the torch relay that will cross over 300 cities in Brazil during the coming three months. The compact SUV is reported to be launched first in South American car market, in Indian car market it is expected to debut sometimes during 2017. Japanese car maker had showcased the concept of this compact SUV three years back in 2014 during Sao Paulo Motor Show. The design of Kicks has been developed in joint collaboration of Nissan Design America Sand Diego and Nissan's Brazil-based design studio satellite, under the supervision of Global Design Center Nissan, Japan. The image teased by car maker reveals first glimpse of front fascia that has been determined for Kicks.
The version of Nissan Kicks determined for Brazilian car market might be empowered with 1.6 litre flex fuel engine, the India bound version might be empowered with 1.6 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engine options. The compact SUV might be developed on same platform on which Micra hatchback and sedan Sunny are developed. Although it is confirmed that Kicks will also be launched in Indian car market, the only matter of concern is to see whether it is launched under length of 4 meter or above it.
