Nissan Starts Testing Its Electronic Vehicle In India

According to authentic sources of Japanese car maker Nissan Motors, the car maker has started testing its electronic vehicle on Indian roads to encourage the drive of such vehicles in Asian continent. The Japanese car maker is also the part of working group which is working the government of India for enhancing the use of electronic vehicles, speculates that India has huge potentials of becoming the key market for such vehicles in coming future. The news regarding the testing of electric vehicles was revealed by Daniele Schillaci, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, Nissan Motors, in his words the company is conducting test drives of e-powered vehicles in India and Indonesia.

The electronic vehicles being tested by the Japanese car maker are enriched with the technique that makes use of small gasoline engine that facilitates the automatic charging of the battery without visiting the charging station while driving. When asked about the details of this technique Mr. Schillaci, said that the technique is still under the testing stage and engineers are trying to understand the technology and its benefits according to driving conditions in these countries.  
 
Although Mr. Schillaci said, "We see a great potential for this technology in the Indian market... Clearly, the long term strategy is to go for electrification (of automobiles) in Asia." Speaking about group’s partnership with the government of India he said that we are just a part of the working group sharing its knowledge and technique in developing the strategy for electric vehicles in India. According to him their group is ready to share its knowledge and experience to other countries also in this field.
 
Asking about the entrance of electric vehicles in Indian car market on large scale, Mr. Schillai said, that according to him the journey of electric mobility in India will began from mid-sized vehicles and not from high end vehicles.
