Nissan Terrano: Launch confirmed on October 9, 2013
Japanese auto giant Nissan has confirmed that it will launch Nissan Terrano in Indian auto market on October 9, 2013 at Chennai. Based on its sibling Renault Duster, Terrano was unveiled in India on August 20, 2013 and since then it received from hype industry experts and customers. It is reported that Nissan will be launching Terrano in six variants of both petrol and diesel, of which one will be petrol variant and rest five will be diesel variants followed by option of three engines and two types of gearboxes.
One thing which needs to be importantly mentioned here is that although Terrano is based similar to Duster, but Nissan has tried to give it different look as compared to Duster. According to sources of Nissan, Terrano will be launched with price tag below Rs. 10 lakh.
Nissan had started bookings for Terrano durng the first week of September and it is speculated that it will start delivery of Terrano after the few days of launch. According to industry experts Terrano will be tough contender for Ford EcoSport and for its sibling Renault Duster. It is also speculated that Nissan will price Terrano higher than Duster.
