Nissan the Japanese auto giant is all set to launch Nissan Terrano in Indian auto market on October 9, 2013. Nissan had unveiled Terrano in Indian auto market on August 20, 2013 and since then people started speculating about its launch and features that will adorned in it. Moreover as Nissan has designed Terrano mainly on platform of its sibling Renault Duster, which had succeeded in receiving overwhelming response from customers, Nissan expects to receive same response from its buyers. And therefore to grab attention of audiences towards it upcoming initiative it has decided to launch Terrano during this festive season. It is reported that Terrano will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants the petrol variant will be offered with 1.6 litre MPFI engine that is expected to churn the power of 102 bhp and torque of 145 Nm, whereas the diesel variant will be blessed with 1.5 litre K9K Dci engine which will offer power in two options of 83 bhp and 108 bhp.

 

Although Nissan Terrano carries the looks of Renault Duster but still Nissan has endeavored to give Terrano different look from Duster and therefore it has tried to give front fascia of Terrano the look which is company’s another SUV S-Trail. It is reported that Nissan has redesigned the bumper with honeycomb grille and new headlamps. According to sources the petrol variant will be adorned by anti lock braking system followed by electronic brake force distribution, front fog lamps and black centre console. The diesel variants will be blessed with anti braking system, electronic brake force distribution with brake assist, rear air conditioning vents, leather wrapped steering wheel, reverse parking sensors and many more. According to industry experts one thing which might disappoint the buyers is lack of steering mounted controls and touchscreen audio system.

According to sources of Nissan, Terrano will be offered in seven variants including XE, 85PS XL, 110PS XL, 104PS XL petrol, XL Plus, XV and XV Premium and will be offered in option of six colors including Pearl White, Blade Silver, Sapphire Black, Sterling Grey, Bronze Grey and Fire Red.
