Nissan to launch Duster clone and New Evalia
The Japanese carmaker, Nissan is aiming to more than double sales volumes in India by near future. Targeting this volume, the company is going to launch some of aggressive car models in the country. The Japanese auto giant is targeting its eyes on compact utility vehicle segment and has made announcement about the launch of a Renault Duster based compact SUV and facelifted version of the Evalia.

Renault Duster has become hit compact SUV car model in India and ranked number the 2 in UV segment in the month of April 2013. It has driven past the Mahindra Scorpio and now by near future it is reported to drive past the best selling UV Mahindra Bolero. After showing huge success of Renault in this category, Nissan’s upcoming Duster's platform based compact SUV is expected to rival the Ford Ecosport.
Nissan India also seeks to enhance market share in utility vehicle segment so, it is mulling about a re-freshed version of the Nissan Evalia which will get face-lift, revised interiors and exteriors as well as enhanced comfort and convenience features. And, launch of these models is expected to be followed by re-freshed version of Micra small car. The company will also throw the Datsun vehicles in Indian auto market.
