Nissan To Launch Kicks Compact SUV On January 22, 2019

Finally, the Japanese carmaker Nissan Motors has revealed that it will launch its highly awaited compact SUV Kicks in the Indian car market on January 22, 2019. The upcoming version of Kicks is totally different from its version sold in the global market. The India bound Kicks is developed on the B0 platform which also underpins its sibling Terrano. After launch in the Indian car market, the Kicks will compete against Hyundai Creta. The carmaker has already commenced the bookings of Kicks through its authorized dealer across the country.

Mechanically, the Nissan Kicks in the Indian car market will be launched in both the petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant will be empowered with 1.5 litre engine generating the power of 104 bhp and the torque of 142Nm, while diesel variant will be offered with 1.5 litre engine boosting the power of 108 bhp and the torque of 240 Nm. The transmission duties in the petrol variant will be performed by the five-speed manual gear transmission system, whereas six-speed manual transmission will be offered in the diesel variant.
 
Inside the cabin, Kicks will be offered with the spacious cabin and will host the bunch of remarkable features, which are strictly according to Indian conditions. The major features offered inside the cabin will include 360-degree camera set-up, smart watch integration, touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android. On the safety front, it will be equipped four airbags, ECS and traction control as standard features offered in the top end trims. Other safety features include hill start assist system, cruise control, and cornering lights.

It would be interesting to know that Kicks is one of the best selling vehicles by the Japanese car maker and therefore, the company speculates to enjoy the same as the Kicks has been enjoying in the global market. Therefore, going through the Indian car market conditions, it has developed Kicks strictly according to the requirements of the Indian buyers. On the exterior front, it embellishes features like new headlamps and taillamps, aggressive bumpers at both the front and rear ends, roof-rails, seventeen-inch alloy wheels and many more.
