Nuego Electric Bus From GreenCell To Have All Women Staff
With an objective to provide a safe and luxurious travel experience to women travellers, GreenCell Mobility has taken an appreciating step. According to reports, the Mumbai-based group has introduced the world’s first-ever-all women intercity bus between Kashmere Gate ISBT Delhi and Agra. An interesting fact associated with this electric bus is that it has all women staff only and is operated to provide a safe travel experience to only women passengers.
In a statement shared by GreenCell Mobility, the group is committed to promoting and supporting women's employment within the country. All the women staff working in the Nuego bus will be given flexible working hours and special policies for leaves.
The bus is equipped with a bunch of features including multiple CCTV cameras inside the bus, ADAS technology, comfortable reclining seats, an emergency button on each seat, and advanced dual climate control.
In the words of Devendra Chawla, CEO, NueGo Electric Bus, GreenCell Mobility, “As the world’s first bus brand to launch an all-women intercity electric bus, the company is delighted to set a new milestone in the industry. Our commitment is to ensure a fair and equitable representation of women in our workforce, and our goal is to build India’s first national electric bus mass mobility brand, with a strong emphasis on empowering women”.
At present, the bus will operate between Delhi-Chandigarh, Delhi-Dehradun, Delhi-Agra, Delhi-Jaipur, Agra-Jaipur, Indore-Bhopal, Bangalore-Tirupati, and Hyderabad-Vijayawada.
