Passenger car sale slid in May
The Indian car market situation is grim. Even the best performers among petrol cars such as Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon, Honda Brio and others are desperately seeking for car buyers. Meanwhile, the distressing figures of sales of passenger vehicles and other sectors have shown that the car market has suffered a major setback in May. The sale of majority of the passenger cars in India has taken a slid in May. Also the other sectors in auto industry witnessed a slow paced growth. In comparison to the corresponding period last year, this year during April-May, the growth rate is 8.15%, which is quite low. If we talk in terms of cars produced last year during May 2011, we will find that around 1,613,872 units were produced. But, in 2012 in May it has slightly increased. The total units which were produced in May 2012 were 1,783,384. The overall growth registered was 10.26%.

Besides, in passenger vehicle segment, the figures were not encouraging as the segment registered growth at 8.42% when we compare the figures of April-May 2011 with the figures of April-May 2012. Over the same period, the passenger car segment grew at 3.10% and utility vehicles at 51.05%. The decrease in demand has taken a toll on the sale of vans. The van segment grew by -5.31 %. Not only the passenger vehicles but also the commercial vehicles sales plummeted. Comparing the figures of April-May 2011 with figures of April-May 2012, the overall commercial vehicle segment witnessed growth at 6.81%.

The sale of medium and commercial vehicles are also marred by low demand. The segment registered a negative growth at -11.07%. But,. Light commercial vehicle registered a growth at 20.18%. Also, the three wheelers registered a negative growth at -0.88% in comparison to the figures of corresponding period (April-May) last year. The passenger carriers segment witnessed a growth of 3.82% but good carriers segment registered a negative growth at -15.77%. If we talk about demand in two wheelers, it has registered a growth at 11.17%. Two Wheelers registered a double digit growth of 11.17% during April-May 2012.

Should change the model of car fuel. but changes were made only on the interiors and exteriors of the cars, Now the fuel should change. If you folks has to stay in the market then you have to change.
