Porsche 911 series to launch on June 2016 in Indian car market

It is reported that German luxurious car maker Porsche is going to launch the new series of 911 cars in Indian car market for 2016 on June 29, 2016. The proposed vehicles to represent 911 series that would be launched in Indian car market will be 911 Carrera Cabriolet, 911 Carrera S, 911 Turbo, and the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet and would be offered in price range of Rs. 1.5 Crore to Rs. 3.0 Crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).  The new version of these cars will now carry sharper and aggressive looks as compared to existing trims of these cars followed by slightly enhanced engine tuning to offer improved power and fuel efficiency performance.

Prior to this car maker had unveiled the new Porsche Turbo 911 and facelift Turbo S Cabriolet back in December 2015, after which both these cars were showcased during Detroit Motor Show 2016 and now finally being launched in Indian car market. All these products would be brought through completely built unit (CBU) route. Under the hood both Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S are empowered with 3.8 litre twin turbocharged, six cylinder engine producing the power of 533 bhp and 572 bhp respectively. On the other side 911 Carrera Cabriolet and 911 Carrera are energized with six twin turbo engine that boost power of 370 bhp and 420 bhp accordingly. The engines of all these cars will be mated with PDK dual clutch gear box.

Talking about the looks car maker has not made any noticeable changes except minute changes. The Cabriolet twins 911 Turbo and Turbo S now carry same looks as offered in upcoming Carrera cars. The front fascia of these cars has undergone changes in form of new headlamps with projector light and LED DRLS. With this the front fascia also received new central air dame and enlarged air intakes with dark chrome accents. Moving ahead the  Cabriolet duo also receive twin fillets and side mounted air blades. Other features found in new 911 series will include active suspension management, dynamic chassis control roll compensation, ceramic composite brakes. With this all these cars will also sport new GP sport steering wheel and also high quality leather trimming sport seats and also 20 inch twin spoke wheels which would carry different look depending upon the model.
