Porsche India inaugurates its new showroom at Bangalore

The Germany based premium sports car manufacturer, Porsche has announced the opening of its Bangalore based showroom in the country recently. With the launch of this outlet, the total number of showrooms inaugurated by the company in 2011 moves up to three. The other two showrooms are also located in the southern part of India that includes Hyderabad and Chennai.

The outlet in Bangalore is located at the famous Lavelle Road that has an ample space to showcase the luxurious Porsche cars along with the class leading service center of the company nearby.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Bangalore based Porsche Center; Mr. Raghu C Y Nayak said that the retail area is around 4,000 sq ft that is sufficient to display three Porsche cars. According to him the company has also setup a service space of 7,000 sq ft at Hosur Road in order to provide convenience to the consumers for the service after sales.

The showroom will exhibit the whole range of Porsche products available in India and that includes Porsche Panamera, Porsche Boxter and famous Porsche 911 along with bestselling premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Porsche Cayenne. All these vehicles will be presented with different variants at the showroom.

The top class luxury cars; which can be customized as per the car buyer’s choice are imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs), and takes around three to six months for the delivery after the booking of the vehicle. The Porsche range of vehicles in India starts with INR 65 Lakh and ends up with INR 2.7 Crore.

Among all the vehicles that are available in India, the Porsche Cayenne SUV holds major share in terms of sales with 50 to 60 percent of the total sales coming from it.

Mr. Ashish Chordia- Porsche Director for India operations said that the company made sales of 134 vehicles last year and by the end of this year it plans to achieve the sales of 500 vehicles, a more than three-fold increase as compared to 2011.

According to Mr. Choradia, there are around 70 Porsches running on the streets of Karnataka and with the inauguration of Bangalore showroom the company is sure to see an augment in sales in coming months.
