According to recent reports German luxurious sports car maker Porsche is going to launch the Sport version of Panamera in the Indian car market christened as Panamera Sport Turismo sometimes during the month of January next year. The bookings of same have been already commenced by the car maker and is expected to launched with the price tag of Rs. 2.08 crore (ex-showroom, India).  It is also reported that along with Sport Turismo the car maker will also launch its fastest version Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo after the launch of Sport Turismo. According to the sources of company this model will however be launched on the basis of order received from the Indian buyers.

 

 

Under the hood the Panamera Sport Turismo will continue the existing engine line-up of 4.0 litre V8 engine generating the power of 550 hp and the torque of 770Nm, whereas the transmission duty will be performed by eight speed PDK gearbox. It will be embellished with Air suspension system as a standard feature followed by the option of rear wheel steering. It will be capable for touching the mark of 100 kmph in the sprint of 3.6 seconds with the top notch of 304 kmph.

 

 

Being the sport version of regular Panamera the Sport Turismo receives slightly upward roofline, large tailgate, additional boot space of 50 litres, and few more advanced features. The seating capacity in the Sport Turismo has been enhanced to five persons as compared to four persons in the regular version. The distinctive feature that has been offered in the upcoming version includes adaptive roof spoiler which facilitate the spoiler to generate 50 kg of extra rear downforce going through the driving situation and vehicle settings.
