Porsche reveals Macan 2016 in Malaysia
German car maker Porsche has unveiled the refreshed version of its luxurious cross over Macan in Malaysia with slight changes in power generation efficiency and subtle upgrades on the exteriors. The company has not revealed any information regarding the price of the upgraded version, however according to sources it is speculated to be offered with existing price range falling between RM 435,000 and RM 820,000 (Rs 72.30 lakh to Rs 1.36 crore) on different available variants namely Macan 2.0-litre, Macan S, Macan S Diesel and Macan Turbo respectively.

To begin with enhancement in power generation efficiency the base variant of Macan which is empowered with 2.0 litre turbocharged engine now generates the additional power varying from 15bhp to 252 bhp followed by increase in torque from 20Nm to 370Nm, as far as other variants are concerned there is no change in their power generation ability.

Talking about the cosmetic changes that are offered in Porsche Macan 2016 includes integration of dynamic light system as option along with integration of cornering lights and speed sensitive headlamps as standard feature. Inside the cabin it sports communication management infotainment system studded on newly developed seven inch touchscreen infotatinment system. Other functionalities offered in this unit are multi touch gesture selection, proximity sensor, WiFi hotspot, with infotainment system supporting compatibility to Apple CarPlay. Moving ahead it also adorns 3D navigation system that reveals real time traffic information which can be used through voice commands. In Indian car market two versions of Porsche Macan S diesel and Turbo are sold which are expected to be upgraded with necessary changes in coming months.
