Power Boat AM37 gets the looks of Aston Martin
British sports car maker Aston Martin and renowned Dutch boat builder Quintessence Yachts have developed a power boat AM37 under their collaboration and showcased the same during the last Milan Design Week. Empowered with twin V8 engines, this power boat boost the power of 775 kW and can reach the top speed of 52 knots. Anyhow, the group also offers the option of low power generation efficiency engine churning the power of 276 kW and touches the top notch of 44 knots. Promoting AM37, Quintessence said, “It is not a boat that looks like a car, nor a car that floats like a boat.”

The power boat came into news for first time almost a year back in 2015 when for first time its conceptual images were revealed by the makers. Developed by making an appropriate use of carbon fibre and various other elements the role of Aston Martin in developing this power boat has been restricted only in determining its design and it had not contributed anything in deciding about its engine configuration. This was also revealed by Mr Mareck Reichman, CEO, Aston Martin, saying “The most important attribute for Aston Martin is the language of design and we have transferred this language into AM37”.

Moving ahead he said, “The new powerboat represents the ideal combination of luxurious and technical materials, generating a powerful yet understated finished product.” According to sources of Aston Martin their team will encourage the buyers to go for this power boat by offering its “Q” scheme as offered on Aston Martin cars. The AM37 is speculated to hit the sea by end of this year.
