Production capacity of Tapukara plant to be enhanced by Honda Motors
Where at one side the Honda Cars India Limited, the Indian alliance of Japanese car maker Honda Motors is finalizing the preparations of its highly awaited MPV Honda Mobilio during the next month, on the other side it has announced the enhance the production capacity of its Tapukara plant located in Rajasthan. According to sources of company to achieve this objective company will start the facility of second shift at its production unit to meet its objective of producing 2 lakh units during the FY 2014-15.

The sources of company also endorsed that company is also working on redesigning its production strategy for next three years during which it will achieve the target of producing 3 lakh units every year. According to Mr. Shigeru Yamazaki, Senior Vice President and Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India said that at present company is working only in one shift at its production unit at Tapukara. But with increasing demand of Honda’s products the unit will start producing according to its efficiency.
It would be interested to know that car maker occupies huge portion of land at Tapukara and depending upon the increasing demand in future it will start making the use of whole land according to requirement. The company is already enjoying huge success in Indian car market since launch of Honda Amaze and new Honda City and wishes to continue the same with launch of Mobilio during next month. The Honda Mobilio will compete against Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and is expected to impact the dominance of Ertiga to huge extent.
