Commenting on this, Christian Cahn von Seelen, Chairman, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd, said, "Today, with the production rollout of the Skoda Slavia, we are igniting the next stage of our INDIA 2.0 product campaign. The Slavia is a strong testament of our intent and capability in the Indian market". It would be interesting to know that the Slavia is the second product by the company in continuation to its India 2.0 project initiated in collaboration with the German carmaker Volkswagen. After launch in the Indian car market, Slavia will go against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City.

In the words of Zac Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, the new compact sedan Slavia is a luxury product that is developed and designed strictly keeping the needs and expectations of Indian buyers. According to Hollis, "We have already clocked in substantial growth over the last year and are rapidly expanding our network and customer touchpoints to bring more customers into the Skoda family”. Moving ahead, he also said,  “The Slavia will carry forward the thrust and provide impetus and excitement to fans of Skoda Auto India and customers looking for a set of wheels that offers a fantastic driving experience and is gorgeous inside out".

Slavia was unveiled by the Czech carmaker last year in November. The company speculates that the launch of this compact sedan will play an incredible role in its ‘Strategy 2030.
