Production of Tata Kite Starts: Readying for launch in October 2015
Tata Kite hatchback from domestic car maker Tata Motors has finally entered in its pre-production phase and is now expected to make its debut in Indian car market in the month of October this year. According to reports, to be named as Tata Glade the Kite hatchback has been reportedly witnessed going through test drives on several occasions. According to reports at present the hatchback is going under final rounds of test drives and seems to be ready for production. It is reported that car maker is also speculating to bring a sedan in Indian car market and which would be named as Kite.
Tata Kite aka Glade has been developed on Indica’s platform and after launch will carry semblances of Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Hyundai Grand i10. It would be offered in both petrol and diesel variants with petrol variant empowered with 1.2 litre petrol engine followed by 1.05 litre three cylinder CRDi engine churning the power of 64.1 bhp and torque of 14.27 kgm. It would be mated with e-clutch system which is similar AMT version facilitating driver to use manual transmission system for first gear without pushing the clutch.
