He had a Chevrolet Impala gifted by his ex-wife Dimple Kapadia and 1964 Willys CJ3B Jeep. His craze for cars can be measured with his intent to film the 'Mere Sapno ki Rani' song by driving the Jeep himself.

It is said that he owned a British Sports car made by MG at a time when it was highly costly to import cars and there was only Hindustan Ambassador and Premier Fiat available in India.
